The Beginning of Bar Code Integrators, Inc.

Bar Code Integrators (BCI) was founded in 1992 in the Chicago suburbs with a single employee, President Tony Schultz, and one client, Abbott Laboratories. Early success delivering bar code and wireless data collection solutions for Abbott Labs established BCI’s reputation for technical expertise, reliability, and measurable results. Abbott remains a valued client today and has referred numerous organizations to BCI over the years. Under Tony’s leadership, BCI has grown into a team of experienced engineers, sales professionals, and project managers with more than 100 years of combined industry experience, specializing in the design and integration of bar code, RFID, and enterprise mobility systems. BCI has successfully implemented solutions for Fortune 100 companies across the pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, and distribution industries.

The Development of Warehouse Vision

In 1995, W.W. Grainger became a BCI client, marking a major milestone in the company’s growth. As Grainger’s warehousing and distribution requirements expanded, BCI developed Warehouse Vision, a proprietary warehouse slotting and optimization software solution designed to automate inventory slotting, profiling, and inventory maintenance. As operational demands increased, WarehouseVision evolved into a robust platform supporting enterprise-scale warehouse optimization. In 2003, WarehouseVision was introduced to the broader market, allowing organizations such as PepsiCo and CVS to benefit from advanced warehouse planning and slotting capabilities previously available only to Grainger.
